Advance HE, Human Systems Dynamics - Global Services,
Know You More, Clore Social Leadership, Wellspring Change,
Maximum Coaching, Vitae

The majority of my work comes to me through clients who reach out to me directly.  Alongside this I am delighted to work alongside a number of other organisation as a partner, affiliate or associate.  Each of these relationships is outlined below.

Advance HE

In academia I was one of the early engagers with the Senior Fellowship programme of what was then called the Higher Education Academy (HEA).   The HEA has since become Advance HE with a remit which remains broadly the same, ‘to enhance teaching and learning, develop leadership and governance, and promote equality, diversity, and inclusion, ultimately improving the quality and impact of higher education for staff, students, and society.’

I now find myself doing some of my work as an associate consultant, trainer and coach with Advance HE.

I am part of the coaching team at Advance HE and you can see more about my coaching background on their website (https://www.advance-he.ac.uk/profile/dr-jeremy-hinks).

I was invited to comment on the content and delivery of parts for the Advance HE Research Leadership Delivery Programme (RLDP) (https://www.advance-he.ac.uk/programme-events/developing-leadership/Research-Leadership-Development-Programme) and on the back of this consultancy was invited to join the delivery team.  Since then I have co-delivered RLDP 2 for Evolving Leaders in large open application cohorts, and have been sole programme lead on bespoke versions of the programme commissioned by individual HEIs.

Clore Social Leadership (CSL)

I have a long relationship with Clore Social Leadership, an organisation whose purpose is to develop leaders within the social sector (charities, social enterprises, community groups) to enable them to transform their communities, organisations, and the world around them by addressing complex social challenges.

I was a founding coach in the Clore Find-a-Coach programme and wrote about ‘The Power of Coaching’ in a blog for CSL in 2020 (https://cloresocialleadership.org.uk/blogpost/1885788/Interviews?tag=coaching).  The programme is now an established offering at CSL and you can find out more about it through this link (https://cloresocialleadership.org.uk/page/Find_A_Coach).

I have coached on many of CSL’s leadership development programmes for the last five years.  These have included Leading beyond Lockdown (for which I wrote another blog for CSL which you can find here (https://cloresocialleadership.org.uk/blogpost/1885655/362499/Coaching-on-the-Leading-Beyond-Lockdown-programme)); Emerging Leaders on Line (annually); Rise Up (annually); Emerging Leaders for the Institute of Chartered Foresters.  I have also designed and delivered bespoke workshops about coaching practice to Rise Up participants.

Human Systems Dynamics (HSD) - Global Services

As part of the learning and development programme I curated at Know You More (see below), I commissioned a session with representatives from the Human System Dynamics Institute.  On the back of the session, I built a relationship which eventually led me to complete their Human System Dynamics Professional Accreditation.

Since then I, along with the large membership of the global HSD community, make contributions to the learning and leadership within the community, and build learning about how effective HSD thinking is within my own context.

I regularly contribute to HSD events and recently hosted a day-long session on ‘The Dragons of Complexity with a consultancy organisation in Edinburgh called Wholehearted, with participants including their executive coaches and consultants, along with senior representatives from their corporate clients.

Kolimbri and Wellspring Change

This collaboration is one borne of partnership and friendship.  Wellspring Change is run by Marcos Frangos and Kolimbri (you can find out more here, https://kolimbri.com is an organisation he also runs alongside his wife, Niki.  Marco and I have worked together for a long time after a period of being peer coaches for each other.   We have since built a friendship and professional partnership which has involved:

  1. Convening coaching teams for delivery of 1 to 1 in large scale coaching projects

  2. Working together as co-coaches in group coaching settings

  3. Co-facilitating experiential training events

  4. Building a resource of reflective conversation we all our TurnStone Wares

  5. Creating and co-delivery of our TurnStones programme which you can find out much more about here https://www.alpamayocoaching.com/turnstones

Know You More (KYM)

I was a founding coach community member with Know You More whose journey as an organisation started at roughly the same time as mine with Alpamayo Coaching.

For many years I was Coaching Operations Director with KYM, a role which I delivered as an external consultant.  The role involved representing the KYM coaching community at the senior leadership level as well as curating a learning and development environment for coaches to engage with as part of their own personal and professional development.

I took on the challenge of developing a coaching development programme for young leaders, Build Up.  As Director of Build Up I led a team of professional coaches in designing an experiential training programme involving over 80 hours of engagement with the 18-25 year participants.  Build Up achieved accreditation by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).  My leadership included marketing and recruitment to the programme too.

Maximum Coaching

I did my own coaching training with Maximum Coaching at the beginning of my own coaching journey.   It was a pleasure to return to work with them on many subsequent ICF accredited coach training programmes, as a practice partner during the training and as an assessor of coaching practice.

Vitae

I am an associate with Vitae, favouring working on coaching projects over training wherever possible.  I was selected to work on two coaching projects, one supporting researchers who were part of a particular fellowship programme in Spain, and another in support of the PLATO project which was a Marie Sklodowska Curie Action funded by the European Union, which trained 15 PhD researchers to research the post-crisis legitimacy of the European Union.
